Workshop information

From March 15th until the event (May 1), there is a 0% refund for class fees and kits will not be mailed or refunded for cancelling the class. You may change classes for a $25/per class change fee. A $10 on-site registration fee will be charged to students registering at the show.

Online registration will close at 9pm Eastern time APRIL 22, 2008.

If a workshop is canceled by Bead Expo Phoenix, the registrant will receive a full refund for that component only, payable within 14 days of the cancellation announcement. No other liability will be incurred by the event organizers.

Workshop Packets
Workshop packets will be mailed early in ???
The packet will include your name badge and all other information on supplies, kits, and workshops. Your name badge admits you to workshops for which you are registered and to the Bead Bazaar Thursday through Sunday. There is a $20 replacement fee for lost badges.

Please note: All designs, handouts, and instructions are copyrighted and owned by the instructor. Individual instructors have varying policies as to how their designs, handouts, and instructions may be used after a workshop. Please check with your instructor before sharing the workshop in any format with others.

Seed Bead Classes
For all seed bead classes, you will use a tiny beading needle and thread to sew beads together. It helps to have experience with stitches such as peyote, brick, herringbone or Ndebele, and bead embroidery. In most cases, you will need to bring beading needles, beading thread, scissors, wax, a beading pad, and a good task light with an extension cord. Every issue of Beadwork magazine includes a section on basic stitches if you would like to brush up before your workshop.

Required kits: Some classes require students to purchase particular supplies when taking that class. These kits include materials and tools that the students need to complete the projects and will be provided at the classroom. Required kit fees are listed within the class descriptions and the required fee is automatically tallied with the class registration cost.

Optional kits: Some classes have optional kits mentioned in their descriptions. These kits will be available during the class, and students can pay for them at the beginning of the class. In a few cases, an instructor requires advance notice to bring the kit; if advance notice is required, the instructor contact information will be provided within the class description.

Other materials: You can find supplies online through dealers listed Step by Step Beads' Big Bead Book.
