WHEN IS BEAD EXPO COMING BACK TO SANTA FE?

Bead Expo will return to Santa Fe March 10 – 15, 2009!

The Civic Center (the new name) in Santa Fe has been under construction and is slated to re-open in the fall of 2008. So Bead Expo will return each year to Santa Fe in March, beginning in 2009.

This new civic center will be one of country’s “greenest” centers around, meaning it will be very environmentally friendly. It will be more than twice as big as the old center and all of Bead Expo can be held there.

The website says the center will be completed in the Winter of 2007, but that has changed due to the excavation of Native American grave sites and artifacts. Here is a link regarding what they have found where Sweeney used to be:

So mark your calendars now for the grand homecoming of Bead Expo Santa Fe 2009! (Note that in 2008, Bead Expo will be at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, March 27-30.)
